Introduction
The notices that may be of interest may be marked so that they are displayed in the calendar of the desired recipients (some or all). They are drawn in the calendar occupying the duration of the event indicated in the notice. Later, the recipients, that administrate their own notices, may mark/unmark them so that they appear or not in the calendar.
The CIFKM administrator, by means of the Floating Icon accesses the administration of the types of notices, where he can create as many types as desired to make them available to the users.
The users may later filter the calendar by types of notices using the markers indicated in number 7 of the figure, for example, separating the private ones from the company ones. This way, it is as if the user could have available several calendars with the possibility of seeing either all or some of them simultaneously.
Also, when the user authorizes other users so that they may view and/or administrate their calendar (secretary, collaborators, etc.) he may exclude certain types of notices, for example, the private ones.
The CIFKM calendar, apart from all the functionalities and conveniences that one would expect form a digital calendar, has the following special features:
Synchronization of the calendar with the Google calendar.
If the server where the application is installed has Internet access, the CIFKM calendar of each user will be SYNCHRONIZED automatically and bidirectionally with his account in GOOGLE CALENDAR.
For this, the user will have entered in his user window the data of his account registered in Google Calendar, which is the one with which CIFKM will synchronize his user calendar (Synchronization with Google Calendar).
The GOOGLE CALENDAR account may also be entered in the window of the actual CIFKM calendar with the button
that appears in the upper right part of the CIFKM calendar .
Thus, the synchronization with Google Calendar, as it is bidirectional, allows the user to view and administrate his calendar by means of any mobile device or a computer with wich one may access Google Calendar.
Give other users access to my calendar.
By means of the “View” button of the upper bar of the calendar one accesses, among other functionalities, the configuration of authorizations of other users (secretary, collaborators, etc.) so that they may view and administrate the CIFKM user´s calendar. One may specify in each authorization, to which types of notices each of the users will have access (privileges). For example one may exclude the private ones from all other users.
Funtionalities of the CIFKM calendar
- Block the selected view
- If it is marked, and one later selects one of the types of view or periods, for example, day, week, month, etc. one will always see this type of period (day, week, month) in the calendar.
- Keeping “block selected view” marked, to move from one period to the one immediately before or after, we may use the arrows
displayed in the calendar.
- Keeping “block selected view” marked, to move to a different period, for example, suppose we have a view of the complete week selected and we would like to move to a different week, we will have to “click” with the mouse over any day of that other week in the months that are shown in the right band of the calendar (see point 5).
- If we have “Block selected view” unmarked, with the left mouse button we will be able to freely select any period of consecutive days from the months shown in the right band. The period of days thus selected will be shown in the calendar.
- Administration of excluded users. In principal, any user may send us a notice, and mark it so that it is shown in our calendar. Later, we may administrate the notice at our convenience. However, from the option “Administration of excluded users” we may select and mark users whose notices we would not like to be displayed in our calendar under any circumstances.
- Administration of users with access to my calendar. This option allows the user to authorize other users, for example, the secretary, some collaborators, etc. so that they may view some types of notices in our calendar. It also allows the user to authorize them so that they may modify them.
- Show notices of... This is related to the previous point, since it is the inverse. It displays for us the list of other users who have authorized us to view their calendar
- Right band of the calendar. It displays different months with their days and weeks. It allows us to move and select different periods and it shows us: (1) the days that have calendar notices, (2) the current day is shown boxed in, and (3) the period of days that is being displayed in the actual calendar appears highlighted with a grey background.
Also, in the right band of the calendar, with the left mouse button, if one doesn´t have “block selected view” marked, one may select freely the period of consecutive days that one would like to view in the calendar, and if one has “block selected view” marked, “clicking” over any specific date one will be shown the period (day, week, month, etc.) of the selected view that contains this day.
- New notice. “Double clicking” over a specific day and hour in the calendar, or selecting a day and “clicking” on the button “New”, a form will appear to create a new notice such that, the date and start hour of the associated event will be those selected and that, by default, will have the check “display in the calendar” marked.
- Types of notices. Marking some types in the calendar only these will be displayed. Not marking any is equivalent to marking them all.
